What Are We Looking for?
The Clinical Associate - Art Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic art services to patients experiencing emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. This role involves using art as a medium to help patients express themselves, manage stress, and improve their mental health and well-being. The Art Therapist will report to the Director of Clinical Services

Job Responsibilities: - Assists therapist with clinical work as requested
- Organizes and conducts group art therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
- Communicates pertinent dada to the clinical, medical and admission teams.
- Meets with the clinical and medial team in daily rounds
- Facilitates art therapy sessions tailored to patients' therapeutic objectives
- Assess patients' emotional and psychological needs through artistic expression, observing and interpreting their artwork to gain insights into their mental health status
- Maintain accurate and timely records of each session, documenting patient's progress, treatment goals and any changes in their condition
- Participate in research activities related to art therapy, contribute to the development of new therapeutic programs and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field
Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, required; Master's degree in Art Therapy preferred.
- Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical art therapy, preferable in a mental health setting
- Certified Addiction Professional, LCSW, LMHC preferred
- Current CPR Certification
- Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
